Marketing > Advertising & SEO
We offer ad design, implementation, and support services for both types of advertising: print and online, but there is a third type, having to do with search engines. It’s called search engine optimization (SEO) and it has to do with organically raising the search engine results for a given search entry or “keyword.” For some businesses, such as in computer repair, PPC does not make sense. For example, if a computer is not working, then the customer will most likely use paper advertising such as a phone book to research who to call for help. That is why market research is so important before starting an advertising campaign to figure out how best to distribute your ad campaign. Click here for Graphic & Web Design. |

Online Advertising (PPC)Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft all have their own versions of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising for search engines where a search entry, or keyword, is used to determine whether or not your ad will display. This can be setup to only show by state or down to the community level. Besides search engines, there are niche sites where your business might want to advertise in such as CitySearch. If you’re business is about travel, you might want to advertise on Travelocity for example. Watershawl can help with both. |
Print or Outdoor AdvertisingPrint advertising is not dead. It still makes up for a large percentage of the advertising market because it is still relevant. The yellow pages is still used by millions of people to find what they are looking for. For some its speed, others its the directory structure, and for some, it is because they prefer it over a computer, or don’t have one. Either way, yellow pages, billboards, magazines, and newspapers can all be a vital part of your ad campaign. |
Search Engine OptimizationSearch Engine Optimization (SEO) is about achieving organic, or natural search engine rankings. This is unlike PPC where you pay for rankings. It involves both optimizing your web site for search and creating links back to your web site from other relevant web sites. SEO takes longer to show results than PPC so the best strategy is to use PPC in the beginning of your advertising campaign to be on the first search engines results page while waiting for the SEO to kick in. |
